Hiring Proccess

Our support staff is thoroughly screened, formally trained, bonded, and insured. They have been selected based on compassion, reliability, and experience.

Our hiring process adheres to strict regulations by the state of Virginia and the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. All applicants must have current experience working with individuals with intellectual and or developmental disabilities.

Requirements

Prospective employees must be able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and exert up to 50 lbs. of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
They must possess excellent communication skills, written and verbal. The ability to attend and pass onsite training classes within the first 30 days of hire. Successfully pass a criminal and required background investigations conducted for all employees.
Must have proof of required education.
Obtain an original VA driving record at the DMV near you or go online; all driving reports are for “employment purposes” only. (NOTE: Virginia motor vehicle reports (MVR) should be submitted in its original format with the DMV logo displayed on the first page; include all pages of the report along with the very last page showing “this ends transmission”).
